Hello everyone, and welcome back to this week’s report! First off I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, and that you all ate entirely too much! I know I did, but it was worth every bit of it! Leading up to this week the fishing was decent and the weather finally laid down a bit.
The offshore scene had a few straggler Mahi left in it and some Tuna on the hump. Mostly smaller Blackfin Tunas, nothing crazy. Nice report from the sword ledge off Key Largo with a couple Swordfish over 250, but only a few smaller fish reported from Marathon to Islamorada.
The wreck fishing has been decent, but the sharks were terrible this week. Still managed some Mutton Snappers, Groupers, Amberjacks, and even a few African Pompano.
The reef bite was slow on the Yellowtail Snappers, but did produce some nice Mangrove Snappers for a late season bite. The Sailfish bite was slow this past week as well, but some Wahoo and larger Blackfin Tuna filled in the voids for a few boats for sure.
Things are shaping up, just need some consistent weather. Looks like we might finally get that. We will see!
