Hello everyone, and welcome back to this week’s report!  Some really nice weather this week, especially later in the week, and the fishing just up the road in North Key Largo has been on FIRE!  Some of the best sailfishing the Florida Keys have ever seen with a couple boats catching over 60 sailfish in one day!  A lot of boats catching 30 or more, and all the way up to Miami.  The boats that ran the distance North really got into them good, and even a few out front!  The farther South you went the current falling apart, but if you got up to Carysfort and North you were in them!   Down South from Duck Key to South of Marathon there was another decent batch of good current, but not the numbers like up North.  Still good fishing though.  Outside of the sailfishing the king mackerel fishing has been pretty solid on the wrecks, and a few other scallywags.  Nothing to crazy anywhere else.  The water has been warming up slowly and the bait has been showing back up so hoping that continues in the right direction.  The weather for the weekend doesn’t look too bad on Saturday, except for a chance of rain.  Sunday looks like the best day, so we will see how it unfolds!  Be safe out there if you can make it out, and we will see ya next week!

Tight Lines,

Capt. James Chappell
